An Overview
Leadership is not telling others what to do. Leadership is inspiring others to do what needs to be done. Leadership potential exists within each of us. That potential can be triggered by outside events, or it can be learned by exploring ourselves from within. Leading with emotional intelligence, coaching takes the latter approach. Once you learn the skills of emotional intelligent leadership, you will be able to build the confidence it takes to take the lead. The more experience you have acting as a genuine leader, the easier it will be for you. It is never easy to take the lead, as you will need to make decisions and face challenges, but it can become natural and rewarding.
About the Coaching
Marcus van Wyk specialises in leadership coaching sessions on a one-on-one basis. It’s designed to improve your capacity as a leader and to prepare you for future roles in leadership. Not only is the coaching for leadership development but also for personal growth as an individual. Coaching is a process of building your leadership skills and supporting you in setting personal, work and mental goals within your present situation.
The one-on-one sessions are about talking, exploring, finding solutions, creating opportunities, and developing your ability to succeed greatly as a leader. You cannot risk leaving your personal development to chance; planning is essential. How many times have you stated to yourself or others your intentions to act but fall back into old habits?
The Process
Marcus will first conduct an Emotional Intelligence Leadership Assessment with you online. The assessment is a total emotional intelligent assessment which explores the six components of successful emotional intelligence leadership within you.

The Hours Needed
The coaching is a minimum of 6 hours, set in advance over 2 months with goals to reach based on the sessions spent together. If after 10 hours of coaching and mentoring you feel you need to continue on more coaching and mentoring, then further hours will be planned.
The 1st session is to establish when, how and where the coaching will take place and the boundaries of the coaching. The 1st session is 2 hours and consists of a full needs analysis of you and your functions.
The Venue for Coaching
The venue for the coaching is normally at your workplace, offsite, or online. It is advisable that the venue is suitable for coaching and not interruptible.
